What is MPW London like?

Set in a refurbished row of town houses not far from South Kensington underground station, MPW London has been serving the local community for around 40 years.

Like many 6th form colleges, MPW began as a private tutorial college, and has grown to help students from age 14 up to get the best possible  GCSEs and A-level exam results.

MPW delivers success through its small class sizes, subject specialist teachers, and an unapologetic focus on exam preparation.

Is MPW London a good school?

MPW London is not cheap, but it lies in South Kensington and restricts all class sizes to a maximum of ten students. Many classes are smaller.

The college was an early adopter of technology used to monitor students’ academic progress, ensuring that interventions are timely and targetted.

Keep in mind that MPW retains a mature, college-like atmosphere, so is best suited to students who will thrive in a socially relaxed but academically committed environment.

What is boarding at MPW London like?

The college’s success in helping students get their best possible results has seen its reputation grow internationally. It has long welcomed students looking for an academically disciplined step towards the top British universities and, in 2022, finally opened its own dedicated boarding premises.

Around 70 boarders can stay at the purpose-refurbished building, which sits just opposite the Natural History Museum, and a block’s walk from the college teaching centre.

It offers modern ensuite rooms, a communal refectory, and other social facilities. The boarding house is monitored 24/7 by the college’s boarding team, with CCTV and electonically controlled access to particular zones.
